Abilene Environmental Landfill Inc. owns and operates a full Sub title D, 264 Acre industrial waste disposal facility 2.5 miles north of I-20 in Abilene, Texas.  TCEQ Permit 2325.

AEL management and staff have been in the waste management industry since 1982 and have developed wasste disposal methods and processes that comply with the developing needs of the wind and Solar Energy industry.  We provide windmill blade demolition and use enclosed trailer transportation of waste to our disposal site.  AEL will provide all equipment and personell for site work and AEL also provides special attention to landowner requirements during demo and loading operations, in accordance with companies safe work practices.

Disposal and site maintenance is documented through disposal manifest and photos for job completion.

AEL's manager is Roy Knowles with a solid waste industry experience of over 32 years and he maintains a Class A MSW license.

AEL is permitted to provide disposal of Municipal Solid Waste, Construction & Demolition Waste, Non-hazardous Industrial Class 1 & 2 & 3 Waste, E&P Exempt Railroad Commission Waste, and tire processing & disposal,.  We also have liquid solidification and disposal services plus we can provide transportation services for oil & gas, industrial, bulk solid, and liquid waste needs.  AEL can also provide transportation and disposal of Wind Turbine Blades.

AEL is situated in a location where there is no ground water.  The facility is constructed with a three foot clay liner that exceeds 10-7 permeability and a 60 mil. HDPE Geosynthetic Liner over layed with a leachate collection system.  Ultimately monitored by 15 monitoring wells that ring the site and are tested semi-annually.

AEL received the CHWMEG recognition.
